Joe graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSAcc) and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degrees in 2012.

After graduation, he became a licensed CPA while working for a public accounting firm in St. Louis, MO for almost 5 years before moving to Dallas, TX and transitioning to the private sector.

In 2021, Joe helped launch Contract Counselors, a marketplace connecting law firms with contract attorneys for short-term or ongoing support. The platform grew to over 2,000 attorneys, giving Joe the opportunity to work closely with numerous solo practitioners and small law firm owners.

Through these conversations, he saw a common theme: while many firms were thriving in their legal work (thus the need for additional attorney support), they also struggled with cash flow management, knowing their numbers, and sustainable growth.

As you might already know, running a law firm is about more than just practicing law—it’s about managing a business. Accurate financial statements, proactive cash flow planning, and strategic financial guidance are essential for long-term success.

Inspired to help solve these challenges, Joe founded GoldPoint Advisors, a CFO advisory firm.
